ChewToy Destroyer
This is an ant-weight robot with a big, nasty spinning saw blade
ChewToy Destroyer did very well
on its first outing by taking 2nd place
at MURCs event at KSU.

The brass tubing body held up really
good and did not need any tweaking
or twisting.
Some specifications:

mcmaster
4124A41    4-3/8 saw blade
5911K11    1/4 alum shaft
1375K48    30 tooth mxl pulley
1375K29    10 tooth mxl pulley
7887K78    mxl timing belt, 76 trade
57155K166  1/4 ID, 3/8 OD ball bearing
60:1 copals with 1 inch dubro tail wheels
Graupner 6 volt speed 400 motor
8 cell (9.6 volt) GP50NH 500mah cells
Xxtra 75mhz Rx and a Sozbot M esc
brass rectangular tubing for the main body
colored zip ties for that extra touch
Here is a close-up of the motor with the mxl gear on
it.  Kinda hard to see, but there is a piece of
aluminum tubing inserted into the 1/8th inch bore
gear to fit onto the motor shaft a little snugger.
Here is ChewToy Destroyer with the speed
400 motor mounted to the MXL timing belt
and its gears from McMaster.  The shaft is 1/4
inch precision hardened aluminum from
McMaster also.  The shaft holders are from an
RC car front steering parts with ball bearings
installed for a smooth, efficient spin-up.
Here is the slip-clutch for the belt system.  I should
post a pic on how I made the 1/4 to 3/4 inch spacer
adaptor, it would be a good laugh.
The shaft is 1/4 inch precision, hardened aluminum.
The two black spacers in the middle are rubber
washer for the slip mechanism.
Look Out you Ants ! ! ! !
This is just the very beginnings of ChewToy Destroyer:
the 4-3/8 inch saw blade lightened up.
