M.U.R.C.s first event.  The Great Plains Robot Showdown, August 10th, 2002.

Little Bite of Death went undefeated at the Great Plains Showdown in the beetleweight class. No Mercy went 1-2.  The crowd voted Cocker as the rumble winner.   But No Mercy got hits on all the rumble bots and seemed the most active during the time period.  :-)

Antweights (1lb) 1st- Ether 2nd - Country Squire 3rd - Jack the Donkey

Hobbyweight (12lber) 1st- IO 2nd - Alpha Pujo 3rd - Deadly Green Munchkin

Beetleweight (3lber) 1st- Little Bite of Death 2nd - Spike 2 U 3rd - Cocker

First off, have to thank Matt, Josh, and Chesney for all their hard work they put in to have this event.  Also, Josh's friend Mark the DJ for his time and use of his equipment.  Oh, wait and BotParts for the extra prizes. The event started a little past 12:00 and a HUGE crowd was waiting for the first match.  I mean, it was 4-5 people deep completely around the 8'x8' arena.  I would have to guess at 120+ people ready to watch us fight.  This was great, though I had a hard time seeing the matches.  It must have been like this for the first 2-3 hours.  Even late into the day, the crowd was still at 50+.
